Announcing the First World Pulse Community Board Member!

Dear sisters,

Thank you for applying for the World Pulse Community Board Member position. We were overwhelmed by the high caliber of applicants and deeply moved by the leadership demonstrated and dedication to the World Pulse mission within this group.

We are excited to announce that Halima Rahman was selected to serve as World Pulse's first ever Community Board Member to represent the voices of women in the global south and women of the PulseWire community at the boardroom table. Congratulations Halima!

As this is the inaugural year for our Community Board Member program, we could only create one position on the board to represent the PulseWire community. However, because we were so moved by the powerful application essays, the impressive resumes and the spirit within this group to rise up and take leadership within this community to advocate for the voices of unheard women, we would like to transition this group to become the PulseWire Advisory Council.

This group will be closed and each of you who applied for this position are invited to join us on this prestigious council, where you can bring forward your concerns, ideas, and issues for Halima to take to the board. She will look to you to ensure that the voices of women from various backgrounds, regions and cultures are equally represented at the boardroom table.

We value your voice and hope that you will continue sharing ideas, experiences and issues within the PulseWire community and serve as a Council Member to help guide Halima in her work with the board.

You are a powerful group of women leaders! This is just the beginning of our transformative work together.

In friendship and solidarity,
Jade and the World Pulse Board of Directors
