Coaching the Voices of the Future, Not Easy…

Rambling like it´s all we can do… that is how we told our stories to Nan Crawford, our designated coach for the speaking tour of Voices of Our Future. Sunita had a lot to say and was the most self assured, while Malaya and I were… , well, like small disasters trying to find a way to become less noticeable…

We met Nan Crawford on Friday, November 5th. Nan, weighing so little, was never overwhelmed by the heavy weight champions of nonsense in speaking that we were. When we said our stories the first time it took us the whole morning. Resourceful Nan said, “OK, now let us learn how to do Haiku”, and … it worked! We were able to narrow it to 15 minutes. But we needed to be on the air for only three minutes. Problem in our door.

By Saturday we had learned how to make songs together, how to be a consolidated group, how to show off our sisterhood… in three minutes.

Great job Nan Crawford. You are the angel of this speaking tour. We will meet again in San Francisco!
