When does Violence Start?

Gender based violence occurs when girls are not sufficiently educated on their rights. To educate them we need funds. There is a donor who will donate a million dollars, one dollar each time this video is shared. So let us not waste the opportunity to share this video on how education can change the lives of girls and women all over the world. Thanks for sharing. http://www.pathfind.org/site/PageServer?pagename=girl2woman_index

Thanks so much for an amazing opportunity and an inspiring video. Education is the best source of independence a girl can receive making her less vulnerable to GBV. But even with education GBV is still prevalent in all societies. What other resources, other than education, do you think girls need for a decrease of GBV to happen?

In my vision, the two ends of life are love and intelligence, and they must meet to make the circle of life perfect. Education has intelligence in its side, but when love comes into the picture we get an amazing result: EMPOWERMENT. This is what will also take us away from GBV. Our first job is to empower women, beginning with the women we love and cherish around us, and then women all over the world.

As for the steps to follow, each program must be designed in accordance to the local reality, but when they are based on empowerment they are twice as successful than when we only focus in education.

    Love,
