Introducing myself and my journal

Posted January 31, 2013 from United States

My Passions: DR Congo, women's rights, indefinite detention (I.e. Gitmo and the holding of undocumented immigrants)

My Challenges: Trying to reach the goal of 10,000 signature for petition to Nintendo asking them to implement a resourcing process which guarantees their products won't fund armed conflict.

My Vision for the Future: To bring an end to the implementation of gender-based violence as a weapon in the Democratic Republic of Congo

My Areas of Expertise: Petition organizing, staying up to date, I am a student who is excited to learn more about the world!

Hello and welcome to our online community! It's great to see a passionate activist like yourself here. You have many like-minded sisters and brothers here, ready to connect and make change.

I like the sound of your petition-- can you share a link with me? The more we can pressure companies to clean up their acts, the more likely DRCongo and other countries can build a sustainable future.

Have you seen our recent report of our work in the DRCongo? You can see that here:

I encourage you to explore our community on your own, but also suggest that you look through our Getting Started Guide here:

If you have any questions, just ask! Thanks again for joining up, I look forward to connecting in the future... Best wishes,
