My voice is courageous, empowering, tenacious, compelling, and passionate!

I want to be a correspondent because I am very committed to developing my skills as a writer, advocate, and public speaker. I have experienced a sense of loss since deciding to leave the United States Marine Corps in 2004. Over the past several years, I came to realize that I did not understand how to unite my feminine spirit and the warrior ethos. My patriotism and sense of duty to serve the world is just as strong as when I was seventeen and decided to serve in the Armed Services. My determination to be on the front lines is just as fierce. But the tactics I need to be effective on these new front lines within our communities, governments, power structures and our own conciousness are very different than what was taught to me in Marine Corps bootcamp. VOF program can help me fine tune my leadership skills and learn the powerful tactics to be a force in readiness in the war on women locally and abroad!

~Be aware of the urgency for American Women to actively particpate in citizenship through being informed, engaging in the political process, and increasing the number of women in leadership roles.

~Identify and understand a process by which we remain consciously connected to our feminine wisdom while we serve in leadership roles within communities and governing bodies that are often driven by patriarchal views and values.

~Define and embody an expression of American patriotism and fulfillment of the American dream through civic engagement and global citizenship that is fully informed by feminine wisdom.

~Gain an understanding of the connection between United States policies regarding women's rights and the rights of women globally.

~Influence, transform, and hold our governing bodies accountable to decisions, laws, and programs that support and protect women and children.
