Dear Voices of Our Future Applicants,

We are thrilled to welcome you to the second week of Voices of Our Future program! Citizen journalists are transforming the way stories are told and the power of reporting now lies in the hands of women throughout the world. Through media sources like World Pulse and PulseWire, you play an important role in bringing forth the stories that main stream media sources typically exclude or misrepresent.

This participatory and collaborative form of reporting is vital to the vision of World Pulse. In addition to PulseWire, we produce a print and online magazine. Our editorial team is an active part of the PulseWire community, pouring over the wealth of exciting, innovative, and untold stories emerging through this forum everyday. We feature solutions-oriented content from the least heard, yet most critical, voices of our time. PulseWire is often the source of these stories. Through these mediums, women’s voices can rise from the ground up and become part of the “pulse” of new ideas and visions on world issues—even from remote areas, via internet cafés and cell phones.

We have the power to connect and build a bold global community that supports our dreams, restores our earth, and heals and transforms society for current and future generations. By telling us your story, you can help build World Pulse into a sustainable, trusted, and influential print and web resource for the movement, all the while helping to empower and link women worldwide. We are a network of voices crossing borders to create a new world, and we could not be more excited to have you as a part of this revolution.

In solidarity,

Corine Milano and Janice Wong
Managing Editor and PulseWire Community Director
