Introducing myself and my journal: Stardust and Discourse

About Me:
I come from a large, noisy, and very close-knit family. I love to play video games, read, watch science-fiction, draw, and getting creative. I think volunteering is really important if people have the time for it. I tutor ESL and volunteer on my local sexual assault crisis line.

I run the Education Program for a local AIDS Service Organization. I help design curricula, train volunteers, teach about HIV, STI's and sexual health, and also train facilitators to be able to do the same. Our work is oriented toward preventing the spread of HIV and other STI's, and supporting those who are already living with HIV.

My academic work is centered around gendered and religious violence in conflict zones.

My Passions:
Feminism, Discourse, Reading, Art, Social Justice

My Challenges:
Finding all the right words

My Vision for the Future:
A world of freedom

My Areas of Expertise:
Sexual Violence, HIV/AIDS, Sexual Health, Gender
