About Me: My name is Juana and I am a social worker from Brisbane, Australia; I work in the area of domestic violence and sexual assautl with women from non-English speaking backgrounds. I have also worked in the area of labour rights for women and young people. I was born in Papua New Guinea and came to Brisbane when I was 3 years old. I am currently completing my Masters in Social Work at the University of Queensland. Besides working in Brisbane, I have also volunteered in Colombia and Kenya in the area of gender based violence and HIV/AIDS.
