I love being a woman.

one. i love my vulva i love my breasts
all soft and warm
and many shades of rose.
life begins and grows here

two. i can do thirteen things at once
without setting something on fire
and i love to remind my men
that multi-tasking is not their show.

three. i love to laugh recklessly
sharing secrets with my sisters in a way my brothers cannot.
for fear of gayness, for fear of vulnerability.
i am not afraid of fellow women
but embrace and open to them

four. for all the pain, for all the mess
i love to bleed once a month.
connecting to the millions of women
that i know are bleeding with me
all around the world.

five. our world will change
when we look to our mothers, our sisters
for wisdom, for insight.
their love and light reflects on me
and i do love being a woman
