All My Relations

I'd like to take this opportunity to share a tiny bit of my culture with you here today. You may have noticed thatAsian my journal entries are signed off: All My Relations and I would like to make sure that you know what the spirit behind this phrase is.

The term All My Relations is used in First Nations cultures to acknowledge the divine interconnection we share with each other and all that is on this earth with us.

It is similar to the idea behind the Asian saying \"Namaste\":

Namaste allows two individuals to come together energetically to a place of connection and timelessness, free from the bonds of ego-connection. If it is done with deep feeling in the heart and with the mind surrendered, a deep union of spirits can blossom. http://www.yogajournal.com/basics/822

Similarly, All My Relations is a term that implies respect, acceptance, non-judgement and universal love for all that is. It also contains a spiritual element that sendings heavenly blessings to those who give and recieve the words.

All My Relations is also thought of as a way of being and can be used as a guide for a balanced life as it insists upon living in harmony with all that is. I aspire to be a living example of All My Relations and thank you for allowing me to share part of the journey with you.

All My Relations,

Jodi
