My Journal

My back is against the wall. It is a serious decision I need to take and both my life and my son’s life depend on the option I will choose for our future.

I am going to Paris where my mother is from.

I left the Ivory Coast as a dance teacher and the women's coordinator for the campaign on Violence Against Women for Amnesty International in the country.

In France, in less than four years I was an executive bilingual assistant for one of the 5 most important Industrial Property Law firms in Europe, a guest choreographer for the National Ballet of Mali and a member of the executive committee of the International Dance Council-UNESCO.

Today, I live in the USA where I taught French for many years, in a private preparatory school in northern Georgia. I had a directorship position at one of the prestigious language institutions of the country. I am a co-writer of an award winning book. My son just graduated from College.

During my journey, I lost my best friend. My father passed away in 2005. You don't know how much you love somebody until you lose this person. I am still mourning him but I know NOW how much he loved me.

My vision and my battle have not changed: the acknowledgement and the respect of women’s civil rights in West Africa.

In November 2016, I earned a National Certification as a Domestic Violence Advocate. I learned a lot, I learned also about my own journey.
