They have the right to attack women's privacy incontestably

Although womenhave their own personal works, duties and problems, street harassment is an extra trouble in their everyday life in Afghanistan. One major reason is that most of men think that only women in their own families are good women and all other women who walk on the streets are bad. So for them to harass those bad women has a reward because by harassment they force women to wear proper cloths in public places.

Once I and my friend decided to go to bazaar in Afghanistan. In the back side of the bazaar, there was a long and narrow place where all females' objects were available. We were going that side and by passing a shop, the shopkeeper said an abusive word to me. My friend immediately answered him by the same word. He thought I replied him because he targeted me. He got mad on us. He took a stone and threw it on me. I went two steps a side and the stone hit the same place where I exactly was standing. My friend latter told me that \"I became shock when I saw the stone would hit your head if you did not step aside\". So she swore on him. The shopkeeper's anger became doubled and was a about to explode because, among other shopkeepers and people around us, it was such a shame that two girls stood against him and defended themselves. For the second time, he took a knife out ofhis pocket, opened it and wanted to throw it on me. But the other shopkeepers stopped him. I was too young those days and used to think that whatever he did was probably my fault. Maybe my cloth was not appropriate. I had to wear a long and loose cloths so that he did not harass me. I hated the cloth I wore that day, it was not too bad though. But now I understand that it was not my fault. I had and have the right to decide what to wear and what not wear.

Remembering this bitter story, I conclude thatmost of men, at least in my country,believe that women are not human beings. Therefore, they have the right to attack women's privacy incontestably. They have the god-given right to decide for women what to do, what to wear, where to go and whom to talk. And women must accept these rules unquestionably. If they stand or question, they deserve to be beaten or killed.
