My story is like many. I grew up in a domestically violent immigrant home. My Irish mom was raised to be a good obedient wife and mother. My father was raised to be tough and rough and to hide the sexual abuse he suffered at the hands of a neighbor man.
My story is not much different than many, I called the police on my Dad, I was sexually molested at 13, and so on and so on.
It's just and old story that could belong to anyone these days, a story that has become a secret epidemic.
I curated this virtual art exhibit "Rise and Shine Global" that contains artistry, music, and poetry by compiling many similar stories. I imbued it with healing intentions that I hope many will receive.
