Introducing myself and my journal: Choosing to Thrive

About Me:
I am an artist, mother, educator, sometime stand-up comic and aspiring screenwriter; my first short film, \"Mourning After,\" is being produced locally and begins filming in a couple of weeks--I will do anything to avoid housework, including taking on the responsibility of producing an all-volunteer film--something I've never done before! The story is a coming-of-age story for middle age and the process of individuation and self-acceptance for the main, female character. It's funny, but the humor comes from the awkwardness of the situations presented and the challenging of gender and age stereotypes.
