The Spill of Bottled Emotions

Inebriation takes over the body and converts sober thoughts into slurred words
She sips to take away the pain but it seems as though when she's drowning in intoxication the pain becomes ten times worse
Liquor turns to tears, sweat, and saliva as sloppy words are pitched at people like baseball players
Problems disappear temporarily but evolve sporadically as the alcohol boils the blood.
Family consists of a mother, granddaughter and 2 daughters A.K.A. alcoholic drinkers.
The oldest daughter and the mother fight over a hidden bottle of liquor as though her only thing in the world was taken away from her like stolen possessions without permission.
The bottle equals control, hydration and power
Where has the bottle gone after 5 consecutive cups without recognition?
I could have told her that the bottle was underneath the table but she did not need any more demon water to cause anymore more friction
Never mind the fact that her baby is in the next room watching mommy struggling to conquer the game of hide and seek trying to find the missing bottle in the kitchen
The family sits underneath a roof full of broken promises
No broken bones yet even though the sisters continuously fight over the “mommy’s little girl” title
The older sister with the baby and the bottle envies the younger sister with no job, boyfriend, or goals
The younger sister enjoys being envied
While the older sister blames her mother for their dysfunction due to favoritism down a lonely road
and even though the mother knows this is true she excuses the older sister’s words and actions
Saying "it’s just the liquor talking" but when sober words go unheard to the mother’s ears from the daughter’s lips why not spit intoxicated words repeatedly like adlibs?
No one pays attention and no one seems to listens so she drinks her words and emotions until the last drip or until she feels emotionally challenged
I grab her by the hand and tell her that when all the liquor is gone, family will always remain
But she jerks her hand away from me, shakes her head, and claims that alcohol is the only thing that understands her due to the continuous relationship between the bottles and when it is pressed hard against her lips.
The recycle of emotions from the bottle to regurgitating becomes easier for her
so she
sips
and
sips
