Just a quick Hi

Dear all

You all must have noticed that i have been away from this great community for quite sometime now. I am hell busy with my final exam's preparations...so, i will be on and off for a month now. A week before, the research centre that i am heading called Center for Research Excellence had organized a program called Industry-Academia Dialogue: Bridging the Skills Gap under my coordination. We had 3 sessions in the program: Banking and Finance, Manufacturing and Trade, and Information Technology. These areas were chosen because of their popularity among graduates and their prospects of growth in the future. We had altogether 9 presentations, 3 in each session. Representatives from Industry as well as academia made their presentations and gave their viewpoint on the issue. The participation was great as well. We had around 100 participants in the program, both from industry and academia, though the number of industry representatives were few.

We are now in the process of extracting the most useful issues raised in the discussion. I am working with my rapporteurs for the same, and we hope to come up with the results soon. I will share them with once we are done.

Regarding my assignment, i am still struggling to identify the issue. Can someone help me?
