So many women to tell about World Pulse

I have been on the sidelines of World Pulse for several years, but finally attending World Pulse Live in Portland, I am moved to sign up and begin some journal entries. My first thoughts are of all the women in the world I would like to tell about World Pulse. It's such a fantastic idea and such a creative platform that can evolve over time to meet the needs of women now and in the future.

As a woman who was excited to be creating \"womyn's culture\" in the 1970s, I am overwhelmed with the way World Pulse builds on the good things we created thirty to forty years ago. Back then we didn't even use the phone that much. There were no mobile phones, let alone computers or internet. We traveled more physically, but not so far away. Now through World Pulse we can travel virtually to anywhere in the world and meet new friends who share our concerns and visions for Peace, Equality, Respect, and Cooperation between all our human family.

I believe that Women have a special role to play in bringing the world together. I love being part of the legacy of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom which was born around the time of World War I. This was before women could vote in the United States. Finding our voices as women then was a step toward where we are today. But now we have a movement that is truly global AND grassroots. I thank every woman who is taking whatever step she can to raise her voice and speak out for what she needs, for what is right, and for the well-being of her family, her village, her country and the world.

Blessed Be,
Kristan
