DEPLETED URANIUM - CANCER CASES IN IRAQ

Cancer is a disease existed long time before in Iraq and everywhere else, What It is been discovered is that CANCER cases has been increased highly after 2003 in Iraq exactly after America Vs Iraq War.
I work for JIM-NET Japan Iraq Medical Network – Project Coordinator and only staff in Erbil office, our organization’s focus or specialty is Cancer in Iraq we work through 5 branches in 4 main parts of Iraq 1 hospital in Basra from South Iraq, 2 hospitals in Baghdad the Capital City, 1 hospital in Mousel and 1 hospital in Erbil north Iraq – Kurdistan Region. Both financial support and mental support . Financially monthly we give drugs and money for buying materials to those hospitals and Mentally we have a project in title P&C Pleasure for children and Comfort for mothers together with volunteers we try to entertain children daily through Reading, Drawing, Playing to keep them feel happy and forget about being sick also comfort mothers while we make children busy with drawing, playing and reading.
The disease is all over Iraq not only Haweeja or Kirkuk area. According to a research the number of cases has been increased in Erbil and Suleimania (Kurdistan Region ) after 2003 it is even 40% higher among children than adults but of course they have taken samples from Dokan water in Suleimania and experimented on two cows in Erbil in laboratory and the cause is Depleted Uranium which had been transferred by sand storm from South Iraq to North Iraq Kurdistan Region. So this depleted uranium comes from the remains of ammunition and military tanks which are left after war but they have investigated on those ammunition and military tanks they don’t belong to US army or British army.But the study and research still going on to find out the truth.
It is true that many children are suffering right now and their condition is between life or death. Some reasons goes back to lack of health service, health care, hospitalization. But we should also know that not all of them can recover because many of them lack immunity and cannot fight the chemotherapy stage, some are in very bad condition that cannot be recovered even outside Iraq it all depends on patient’s situation and condition.
But definitely helping them is humanity, charity and a very loyal action from anybody or any organization.
