Introducing myself and my journal: HARD WAY UP

Woman, Warrior, Utopist and Slave
Woman, everything about me attests of my womanhood and this turned me into a warrior.
Warefare and battles for respect and consideration, to be heard and understood. Battling at work with your colleague who only looks at you below your chin, battling in the streets when on your way to work or to the market with men who disrespect you because you're what ? A WOMAN!! and of course a defeseless victim and amusement. Fight to exist, to be me.
Utopists cause I was and still am blessed to have parents who are avant-garde was nurtured with love and a vision of gender roles which had nothing to do with the regular African or Cameroonian stereotypes. In fact it was the total opposite, mom worked and dad was a stay-at-home dad! There has never been any shouting or malaise no was all good, but at the same time my mom was a wife loving, caring and submissive to her husband. This makes me believe that we can make the balance between the achieved independent woman and the wife in our cultural or biblical ways without necessarily being maltreated or disregarded. Utopist because I believe in the amazing power of love and education, love conquers it all and education strengthens the spirit and sits the values and logic in the mind. I consider as hope the adoration men have for their moms, women.
Slave to my aspirations and ambitions, slave to my dreams and hopes of a strong, independent and succesfull woman, Cameroonian, African, Black, White or Blue! Salve to the vison of a world without GBV or any form of violence.
Hard way up, why hard ? Hard because we confronted with the ugliness of humankind in the form of ignorance, violence, selfishness and wickedness. It breaks a part of a when it comes across, the fact that some acts are simply unexplainable or not understandable makes them hard to forgive, hard to forget and hard to fight because you realise that the perpertrators or your opponents are humans like you and love tells you they are victims also. Hard way up to the unlimitedness of knowledge and love. As well all know every journey begins with a step. Come walk with me
