Breaking barriers!

I would have to say that amonst all other challenges, the biggest challrnge I face in my community that hampers me in effecting positive change is the mindset of the people/society.They have a fixed way of thinking out things, and the unfortunate part of the matter is that the very mindset that this people embrace so much is of old times when things were still simple and uncomplicated.

That mindset that says that,’’a woman’s place is in the kitchen, and the man is the head of the house and what he says goes no questions asked’’.These people need to be immediately driven out of this way of thinking before they bring more distraction into other people’s lives.

I believe what needs to be done is that people need to get out there and meet a number of people different from them,so that they can develop new ways of thinking and to reinvent their lifestyles;because all they are doing is running in circles confined in a box.The world mustn’t come to you,you should go into the world and open your eyes to new and enriching possibilities to sweeten your life. That would immediately eliminate negative things like xenophobia, prejudy and abuse in any category.

It’s time the mould change, the key word is ‘’teach’’;no matter how old you are,you are never to old to learn;but you can only learn and change your frame of mind if and only if you are willing to do so.

So people should start educating themselves that there’s more to life and the world than just ‘’you’’.In avenues like social networking that platform to learn at your own pace the pros and cons of life has been provided.

I believe that the invention of social networking is the mother to the necessity of know the world around you, because people need to know what is going on out in the world they live in.Social networking isn’t only meant to connect you with family and friends who are dear to you,it has also been made to shed some light on you,for those who’ve been mind trapped.

So open the windows of the soul and create a desirable atmosphere of life, you owe it to yourself and those around you!
