A multi stakeholder process led to the implementation of 4 demonstration projects in 4 localities along the Bucovati tributary: Dolna, Micleuseni, Lozova and Vorniceni, in close cooperation with the local population, local authorities and youth.
16,000 seedlings have been planted along 32 km of the Bucovati stream by over 100 volunteers.
The Strategy for sustainable development of the Bucovat Stream for 2010-2020 has been approved by the local authorities.
Awareness raising and involvement of youth was an important part of the project.
Sustainability is guaranteed by the involvement of the local people and follow up projects by the authorities taking care of the plantations.
