WHAT ARE YOU DOING TONIGHT?

I seldom do this. I don't like singing especially when I know someone is listening. That is why I normally sing while I am doing the dishes or while I am in the shower. It is not a shower actually. What I do everytime I bathe is have water in what used to be a blue basin. Once I am inside the bathroom that doubles up as the toilet, I squat, spread my palms in the water, scoop then splash it on the part of the body I am washing at a particular second. I also do other things, like taking off my clothes, brushing my teeth, peeing, bathing, singing John Legend's I LOVE, YOU LOVE off-tune, dry myself aafter bathing and putting my clothes back on.

This process takes a long three minutes. Believe me I know what I am talking about. I have gone with a stopwatch to the bathroom, about three times I suppose, and I am convinced three long minutes is what it takes for me to to take off my clothes, brush my teeth, pee, bathe, sing John Legend's I LOVE, YOU LOVE off-tune, wipe myself dry after bathing and putting my clothes back on.

But today I want to do soemthing else. I want to sing knowing I am not bathing and I am not doing the dishes. That sacres me a bit. Let me just try, okay. Let me clear my throat. I have to do this three times. Now I am done. Let me sing...

Ooh da da dum dum da dum du du du du du du

Are you listenin?

What are you doin tonight?
I miss you to the bone
Thoughts of you come ova
Leaving exile and discova

Girl, we need to have a one to one
Me and you we really do
We should have a one to one
And know what I said
We’ve got so much things to talk about
We must get togedda to sort it out
If in your mind you have some doubt
Come then let me show you what I’m about
We need to have a one to one
Oh girl no denyin
We should have a one to one...

Now that I have sung, for the first time in public, I want to try soemthing else. I am going to audition for the upcoming singing talent search tonight. Which brings me to what I wanted to ask you. What are doing tonight? I would like you to accompany me to the talent search. I know I am not much of a singer. But just like Susan Boyle (from Britain) I HAVE DREAMED A DREAM!
