I am a serial entrepreneur, for profit social enterprise advocate and former publishing corporate executive in North America with a passion for promoting the work of feminist entrepreneurs world wide. I am interested advancing womens' enterprise, self-directed (vs VC-led) entrepreneurship, sustainable and socially progressive enterprise design, and generative economy principles.
I am now the founder/publisher of LiisBeth, a trans-media magazine whose mission empower feminist entrepreneurs to actively lead the world in breaking down gender inequality.
Prior to the launch of LiisBeth and Eve-Volution in 2013, I was the founder/CEO and yes, start up cheese maker, of the award winning (including Premier’s Award for Agri-Food Innovation, 2009) sustainable, artisan food enterprise, Fifth Town Artisan Cheese Company in Prince Edward County. Fifth Town has since been the subject of 5 academic research papers. Petra also served for 18 years in the publishing industry including 8 years as President, Higher Education, McGraw-Hill Ryerson She was awarded the Terry McGraw award for Excellence in Executive Leadership in 2003.
