Women from Honduras developing a worldwide umbrella organization for Honduran Migrants

About Me:
Hello, I am Linda and come from Honduras in Central America. I study Social Economics at the University of Hamburg, Germany. I have a teenage daughter and we live in Hamburg.
Although I left my home country 16 years ago, my heart is still there and I have long suffered in silence the feeling of uprootedness.
Since the 7th of December 2013, I gathered my courage together and decided to initiate a movement called: "The Honduran Diaspora"
In Spanish:" La Diáspora Hondureña" using nothing than my computer, internet connection and Social media tools.
My dream for this recently born project is to inspire and help my fellow country people abroad, and inside Honduras as well to empower themselves, to promote citizen participation and encourage the development of a culture for peace and support the building of a strong community bond of Hondurans abroad.
The main goal is to create an Umbrella Organization that officially represents the interest of the Honduran migrants in their guest land and home land as well.
Along this process, I have found other Women from Honduras, who have been working highly motivated to make this dream come true. I have been very fortunate so far and want to share my joy about this wonderful experience with you.

¡Hola! me llamo Linda y vengo de Honduras en Centroamérica.
Aunque me fui de mi país hace 16 años, mi corazón está todavía allí y he sufrido mucho en silencio el sentimiento de desarraigo. Estoy estudiando Economía Social en la Universidad de Hamburgo en Alemania y tengo una hija adolescente, nosotras vivimos en Hamburgo.
Desde el 7 de diciembre de 2013, me armé de valor y decidí iniciar un movimiento llamado " La Diáspora Hondureña "
usando nada más que un computador, una conexión de internet y las herramientas de medios sociales.
Mi sueño para este proyecto recién nacido es inspirar y ayudar a mis compatriotas en el exterior y el interior de Honduras, para que hagan valer sus derechos, promover la participación ciudadana, el desarrollo de una cultura de paz y apoyar la construcción de un fuerte vínculo de la comunidad de hondureños en el extranjero.
El objetivo principal es crear una organización que representa oficialmente a los intereses de los emigrantes hondureños en su país de origen y el País huésped también.
A lo largo de este proceso, he encontrado otras mujeres de Honduras que han estado trabajando, altamente motivadas para hacer realidad este sueño. He sido muy afortunada hasta ahora y quiero compartir mi alegría por esta maravillosa experiencia con ustedes .
