This woman's career has taken her through 20 years of sport practice, administration and advocacy. She has served on the Board of the National Olympic Committee of Zambia and the National Sports Council Board. Formerly, the Chairperson of the International Kicking AIDS Out Network, she has been at the frontlines of advocating for the sport for development approach and gender equality in sport addressing forums ranging from traditional chiefs, up to the G28 Summit, the World Bank Market Place and the NGO Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations. As the first female president of a National Judo Association in Africa, she promulgated changes for which she has received ‘Sports Administrator of the Year’ awards and a Presidential award for her contribution to development of her country. As founder and Director of a Women in Sport advocacy organisation, NOWSPAR, that works with men towards gender equality, she is passionately championing the cause of women in sport in Zambia and the region.
