About Me:
Lucy Kanu is a Nigerian Social Entrepreneur, Management Consultant, and enterprise ideabroker™. She has over 14 years of national and international corporate experience working in both the private and social sector. In 2003 she founded Idea Builders Initiative, her first exercise in social entrepreneurship and in 2007 she pioneered the founding of Agroeco –a consultancy comprising experts in agriculture services and policy advisory, rural development, and food security. Also in 2007, she became an Ashoka Fellow and later in 2009, elected to the Commonwealth Fellowship. She Country Representative for Interface Africa, and recently got appointed regional coordinator New Faces New Voices, Council Member of ICCO West Africa, founding member of Media Matters for Women and member of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group: Human Capital Development Policy Commission (HDPC),



Over the past 9 years, Lucy has led teams and facilitated not for profit initiatives in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders on issues bearing on agriculture, livelihoods, entrepreneurship and women empowerment. Lucy continues to develop projects and strategies that engage people, institutions and multi-national corporations in Nigeria.



She holds a degree in Business Management and has a certificate in Project Management from the Lagos Business School. She is also a Certified Advanced Techniques SME Coach, Mentor, Facilitator and Change Management Consultant.
