The journey

Born on the 3rd of March 1996, with the zeal to see the world so much, born on the way to hospital as patience become an issue to her and given the name ‘AOKO’ which means ‘outside’ and Lucy as her Christian name. due to some circumstance I could not understand, taken away from her mother at a tender age to a pristine environment in the city on Nairobi. On turning two, lost my mother and life starts from the beginning, irrespective of that, I get the courage to face the world and to accept my destiny. Being that I have grown up not understanding the love of a parent, but I have learnt to maintain good moral which is a privilege to the society of today. I have a passion to one day be a woman of immense importance and that can be heard. Only that I have not gotten the opportunity. I get encouraged by Malala Yousafzai, being that she lived in a society where it was difficult to stand as a woman and speak, but she stood to be different and is now a great woman. Challenges that women face in daily life makes me think that if only I had the opportunity I would have stood to bridge the gap. In Africa, millions of girls are being molested, millions are married at tender age, lacking education, and live to be house wives, not because they don’t have the right but because they are being denied that which they desire to have. As a woman, I am a programmer something that was difficult to women, but that the difference that I ever want to be gotten by every woman. A chance to stand out different. From the word “Nothing for us without us”! ITS US TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE! AND IT BEGINS WITH YOU AND ME.
