Introducing myself and my journal: Dairy of a Young Black Woman

About Me:
I am a 21 year old student pursuing a degree in gender studies and political science at a Canadian University. As a woman of colour who spent a lot of years growing up in my African home country of Ghana, I have grown from a passive woman to someone who likes to take active participation in her community. I am aware of the challenges I face as a woman, and as a black woman and how these challenges are not exclusive. My experiences though unique, are mirrored by the experiences of other woman like myself who are seeking the right medium to join voices into creating a unique path of freedom, vision, prosperity and independence. I have endeared myself to issues that affect women and children of my home country because I believe in the spirit of collectivity and I hope to gain a wealth of experience to advance to future of my continent.

My Passions:
To dedicate my resources, skills and talent to the advancement of women

My Vision for the Future:
To be able to use the law as a tool of liberation for women and children and see a world in which women are defined as bold stakeholders with powerful voices
