Introducing myself and my journal: Maasai Mummas

About Me:
Hi there, I am trained as a social worker and working on a voluntary basis with a group of Maasai women in rural Kenya who have set up a Women's Group. These women have missed out on education and many were forced to marry. The women have found support and togetherness within the group and are desperate to improve their lives and the future for themselves and their children. I have worked with them for a short while and want to support them to facilitate a strong foundation and develop to the best of their ability. I am so inspired with their determination and it is wonderful to witness them evolving and realising the power of the group. I would love to support them in the best way and feel a bit out of my depth for sure. I would love to be the best support that i am able and would appreciate any advice and guidance from this community.
Many thanks
Janette
