In an article in my newspaper I mentioned issues related to election violence against Congolese women, which must be taken seriously.

It has been only two days, I just got  the information on the National Radio Television Congolese in where a woman, responsible for the feminist  branch in Kinshasa had decried the blockage maintained by several political parties toward women.

It claimed that many women have joined the political parties of their choice. However, it turns out that the day before the  elections, the managers of these so called parties demand that they  pay  the fees to co-ordinate the elections in DRC.

However, these fees are enormous for women, they don't know where to turn. where, the majority of these women wonder what attitude to take in response to this deadlock on the one hand. On the other hand, they do not have the financial means to set up a new political party, but also the time to formalize such a project.

From the above, political participation of Congolese women may be hypothetical. Therefore, achieving the "Genre" approach seems to be a utopian reality.

Bonjour Madeleine

Je vous remercie de nous informer sur la situation au Congo. Je comprends la frustration des femmes mais je sais dans mon coeur que cela va s'ameliorer.
