In response to the your whimper, I am sharing a small poem (not written by me ) written by a boy - Aditya Damodaran
- who was just twelve then. here it is
The Need for the Girl Child
As life assumed the human form,
A thought Adam’s mind did storm.
He wanted company; so prayed he
And presto in front of him was a lady.
Now as centuries have flown by
Inhumanity has reached the sky.
Women no longer seem useful to man,
In fact he’ll get rid of her if he can.
Now some people have started to recollect,
And some are helping to erect
An image of the girl child so holy and rare,
That now for the girl child people have begun to care.
The world has woken up with a start
And realized with the female they will have to part.
With their numbers dwindling man has begun to fear
And has felt the need of a girl child year.
Now writers have picked up their pen,
In favour of the remaining and future women.
Discrimination against them will soon be gone
Without Mary, Jesus would never have been born.
