Children's Lives in Certain Households of Sud-Kivu, RDCongo

The current cyclical situation, that certain parents are the victims of, no longer gives hope, for some, that they still live on this earth of men.

This is explained by the fact that certain parents do not have revenue-generating activities to subsidize the daily needs of the children of the house. As a result, the parents are forced to do whatever is necessary so that the children have something, anything, to eat. However, you will see that on average the size of households varies between 6 and 12 children to take care of, and these children must eat, study, be cared for, sleep in good conditions or work.
To the extent that the parents are landlords, the situation becomes catastrophic.

I met a girl sitting at home on the wall of the foundation, hands on her cheeks full of regret. I asked her what she was doing there, with her hands on her cheeks, and she responded, I finished and I am a graduate of the local institute of higher learning, I don't have any work, I am the oldest girl of the family and I have four little sisters and three boys, the boy children spend the night in the living room and the girls, all four, in a small room because our house only has two rooms and a little living room and the parents are landlords.

This girl is declaring that she needs to be married to make room for her younger sisters, but where to find a husband? She needs to work or find a job. She needs to continue her studies or find the money to pay for them. Her father often comes home late around 11 o'clock when the children are asleep and leaves around 5 o'clock in the morning with no destination so that he is not seen by the children, to avoid a scandal.

The mother, without an occupation, carries loads or merchandise averaging a derisory price and comes home in the evening too tired.

When one of the children is sick it's more serious, and daily the children are chased from school because they haven't paid the bonus for the teachers. More than 85% live this situation in the town of Bukavu.

One proposition to be envisioned is to provide the economic operators with the possibility of creating companies, by lightening their taxes and respecting the fact that school should be free for students in primary school. Help us, please, people of good will; come help impoverished families in the province of Sud Kivu in Bukavu.
