Words of Celebration

Dear Wonderful and Amazing Friends,

The sounds of my heartbeat reverberate to every corner of the world today full of cheerfulness. Reading all the greetings of congratulations from everyone of you is very touching. I wanted to cry since this morning but I can’t because I don’t have time to really feel the joy I have found today. As usual, my day is always full of stressful activities and my emotion is always kept in control to make everything in place. But tonight, it’s 11 o’clock , after all the day’s work I opened again my email – I’m so emotional reading more messages from all of you. I feel sad having farewells and I think this make me cry tonight.

I really wanted to write each and every one of you and how you made a difference in my life. How I wish I can. I promised to make a letter right after our last assignment but I didn’t catch up until today that the list of the finalist came out. I just wanted to share how the program , the PulseWire Team and my fellow correspondents made a great impact in me.

First of all, no words could ever express my gratitude and my endless thanks to Pulsewire Team who provided this opportunity, made such tremendous efforts and valuable contribution to make each and everyone of us bring out the best in us.

The program and the spirit of the Team patiently develop my initial level of confidence in basic journalism. I keep saying I’m not good enough, I’m still a beginner, I’m still learning… but along the way , along my four months journey with you – I did learn so much – so much that I can proudly say – I know how to write openly my innermost feelings and thoughts reflecting the realities of women’s lives here in our country; letting you feel our pain and happiness, the struggles and the tranquility, the survival of the poor and the lavishness of the powers that be , our pasts and the presents times, our dreams and our future. What a gracious learning experience! But I still have a long way to go but I know Pulsewire community is always there …

Secondly, this is my first time experience in making friends in cyberspace – I’ve learned so much – I did learn and experience teleconference – the wonders of technology! Very positive learning experience for me – hearing all the different voices of wonderful and brilliant women all over the world – Yah the world is really small in space and wonderful people and friends are just there in the corners

To Jennifer , thank you so much for your presence on line, for inspiring me to go on, for the patience and understanding in dealing with everyday’s pressure from us, for the endless words of thoughts and inspiration , for everything, you did give your best shot for us. Congratulations for a very well deserve success!

To Janice , I did say to you time and again how thankful I am to you. You became a friend in me and to my kids– your messages always touch me – I feel you’re so near and known you at a very personal level. You always inspired me with you words of comfort and care. I wish you all the best ! Congratulations for the heartwarming friendship with me and with others!

To Scott, I‘ve have little times with you but I know you’re behind Jennifer and the Pulsewire Team trying hard to make great contribution for us women. I do admire and salute you for being here with us – making all the way to realize the dreams of VOF program . Thank you so much ! We need men like you , ever supportive and understanding!

To my VOF friends – you are all such great women of our times. Please don’t say goodbyes- Our friendship must go beyond this program – the program is the world we live in – We might be very busy after this program but we still need each other – the women whom we bring in the air/ on line are still there needing our voices loud and clear to be there leaders, their mouth piece, their inspiration, their hope to carry on! Each and everyone of you is very special to me. I apologize for my limitations – for not giving feedbacks – but I always admire your articles – beautiful writings ! ! !

To my dear mentor Jeanne - I know how hard you sacrifice for me , your concern and your big big heart. How can i ever say thank you so much - i know this is not enough ! I'm so privilege having you as my mentor - I'm so so bliss ! My heart is speechless for you! My kisses and hugs for you ! You just so GREAT! I will write you soon !

Just as the world is so silence tonight – my inner voice is so loud tonight saying CONGRATULATIONS TO EACH AND EVERYONE OF US ! Thank you once more for all the people who are behind this fascinating experience – to all the Pulsewire team members - GREAT WORK!

To Jensine for making not only your dream come true but also for realizing the dreams of women like me – the voices of the voiceless through writing - !

Hugs and lots of warm handshakes and kisses,
malaya
