The Rafiki Club in Nairobi adds new Members

Dear Rafiki

It is yet another Friday and we in Project Africa have been to the Rafiki Club in Kaloleni, Nairobi.

In today's rafiki session three new members joined in making the attendance of Rafiki to increase to 11 from last weeks 8 members

The women in the Rafiki club gladly wrote their letters to the international rafikis they had been paired with. They also requested for young Rafiki to be recruited for their children nad a total of 21 children aged 7-19 where registered.

The Rafiki Club in Kaloleni Estate in Nairobi is determined to continue with the Rafiki spirit. Though all the women in the Rafiki Club can read and write well, they are using Rafiki sessions to discuss issues affecting them in Business and creating room for networking and for building cooperations/partnerships.

The women share knowledge and business education and work together to see that each one of them can find clients and earn an income. Business represented in the Rafiki Club in Nairobi include running by the road side kiosks, to catering and event planning, to au pair connect. Others include handcrafting like weaving of mats, commercial Laundry, grocery and hair salon.

As the Power of Rafiki continues to build women entreprenuers with a difference we encourage our international Rafiki to keep on writing to local women in Kenya. The seeds of knowledge that we sow today will make a difference in the near future.
