Struggling again!

Hi

Just when i thought i was on target with the Month 2 assignment, i find I'm struggling again! I thought I'll share this with all of you, as you guys have been so encouraging with your feedback and just spurring me on.

It looks like i wont be able to make the Aug 2 deadline and the earliest i can post my article is 5 or 6 Aug. Thats cos i am meeting 2 (and maybe even a third!) women who have experienced and suffered through the unstated stigma of being a single mom and widow. They live in a pretty rural area, about 5 hours away from where i live and I'm planning to travel there on 4th, visit with them and do the inerviews and stay overnight before returning home on wed.

I wrote to Jennifer earlier today saying i wish that doing interviews and finding the right people to interview was easier than this!!!

I met one woman earlier this week but her story doesnt give me any colour or an interesting personal story. So what do i do? I can do a draft for the sunday deadline, with facts & information, but this is not at all what i plan to write as the Frontline journal article. so i decided why should i try to fabricate a draft when I'm going to come face to face with the real thing in just a few days?!

May i also say that I am cheering for all of you to make the 2 Aug deadline, and have been enjoying reading some of the articles already posted. I feel like i'm on a different planet, not just on a frontline! you ladies are all doing such amazing writing.

Thank you for all your feedback and for assuring me that my story idea wasnt as far-out as i thought it was!

Hugs to you all,

Manori
