MY PERSONAL VISION AS A FUTURE VOICES OF OUR CORRESPONDENT: Week 4 Assignment

MY PERSONAL VISION AS A FUTURE VOICES OF OUR CORRESPONDENT.

I remember when I wrote about my personal history in the week 2 assignment, I seized the opportunity to thank World Pulse for contributing in transforming my life. Sure, as a change leader and citizen journalist mentee, if I must work in shaping the world, then I must radically empower and transform myself first.
To connect with the Week 4 reflection, I would think loudly that my personal vision for my life, my community and the world are as follows:
- Have experts support me in developing my potentials for a greater insight and foresight
- Gain power from within me, that is, self-assured, self-conscious, self-determined and assertive
- Be apt in using Web 2.0 application tools effectively
- Face/confront my fears
- Learn more, engage in participatory information sharing and collaboration
- Make my voice echo around the globe, as I share my personal/work experiences and visions with others
- Connect with, interact with, support and network with women from all walks of life and status from various global women’s empowerment movements, to scream for social change
- Gather and disseminate personal life stories and news
- Seek new opportunities that will change women’s lives and lift our communities
- Learn, discuss, act and build positively
- Unite outstanding women in my community as catalysts for change
- Acquire and facilitate opportunities for me and my women’s groups to train, manage projects back home and assist others in their projects
- Exploit the World Pulse community as a Vocal Contributor, offering a helping hand, developing strong team skills and critical thinking, for a better future and
- Acquire the skills and knowledge I need to actualize and vocalize my visions for myself, my community and the world.

More so, I want to be a Voices of Our Correspondent, particularly, as it is a leadership programme.
My vision is to become a skillful writer and publisher in the near future. In other words, be engaged more effectively in creative writing; doing something out of the routine. Another dream I have is to create my own women leaders’ support group.
As such, only through this programme can I overcome my fears, interact freely and realize my dream. Most importantly, in this community, I have learnt that all opinions count. It is so interesting to see here that all ideas are heralded. This makes every contributor feel important, and so, can easily overcome.
Belonging to the Voices of Our Correspondent, I hope to develop increased visibility for issues and challenges faced by me and my community, to break down barriers in an emerging world.
When I eventually become a Citizen Journalist, I will gain extraordinary opportunities to access, actively engage with and drive global reflections for my dream world – a women friendly world!
