Flight for Voice

I am taking to the skies in a light aircraft RV6 two seater with myr friend Bill, visiting remote regions around Australia and raising awareness of the fantastic work of Braveheart and White Ribbon Australia.

Our journey will start in Wollongong on April 27 and take them through central Australia across Northern Territory, down the west coast, through South Australia and then back to Wollongong one month later.

“Bravehearts is Australia's leading child protection advocate and White Ribbon is Australia’s campaign to stop violence against women. Violence against women and children are universal issues that I personally feel very passionate about, and that need a lot of attention. The ripple effect of such abuse is effecting each and every one of us,” Marie said.

“My intention is to go raise awareness of Bravehearts and White Ribbon in regional areas. Often communities don’t know how they can support the space of abuse. Bringing light to these fantastic organisations and education programs will support individuals everywhere to find their voice of power. I believe until awareness is awakened there can’t be change.”

On her Flight for Voice, Marie will connect with local media in all regions, blog, visit schools and share what communities can do, working at a grassroots level to influence global change.
