Uphold Women’s and Girls’ Sexual and Reproductive Rights with Me

What I'm Leading

Many women and girls in Cameroon experience ignorance, fear, and intimidation concerning their sexuality and their reproductive health rights. This leads to a high level of unwanted pregnancies, crude abortions, early motherhood, early marriage, sexually-transmitted infections, and school dropout. Many women and girls live in poverty and misery because they are unaware of their sexual and reproductive health rights, and are therefore unable to manage them.

I have personally experienced this situation, and in response, I have created a social clinic to provide unbiased information and a safe place for women and girls to discuss their sexuality and its challenges. My campaign aims to give women and girls the knowledge and services they need to manage their sexual and reproductive health effectively and with dignity.

About Me

I am a teacher, researcher and a social activist for change. I come from Bawock a village in Bali subdivision. My passion is the wellbeing of every woman/girl be guaranteed by creating awareness among women/girls of their indispensable role in ensuring the wellbeing of one another. I equally long for a society where women and children's right are respected. These desires have been greatly challenged by the patriarchal mentality of my community and the cultural taboos within the community. The point of focus being the kind of doctrine handed down to the younger generation and how it shapes or affects the day to day life of the people. Making my voice heard in counselling, motivating, empowering, peace building, and sparking life time change will be a great fulfilment.

My Vision

A community where women and children most especially, live, feel loved and wanted as well as have their rights respected.
