upholding the sexual and reproductive rights of women and girls is a holistic affair so needs every possible support. In response to some issue of structural violence against girls in school our campaign came up with the initiative to provide girls we a way to stay in school in case they are stained. We provide an emergency box like the first aid box containing sanitary napkins, pants, wash powder, 2 bucketsand toilet tissue to help girls have a change within the school so that they don't miss classes.. so far we have given to two secondary schools.
We have the following challenges to this initiative:
- Continuous supply of the contain in the boxes so that it is available always.
- We need to reach many more schools.
- we equally need to have training sessions with the girls to educate them on menstrual management and their sexual and reproductive health rights in general
- We noticed the toilet system in most schools is not friendly to girls especially during menses
We look forward to partnering and working with individuals or organisations who can help us overcome these challenges
