My sister my friend project

My Sister My Friend Project sponsored by The Pollination Project Seed Grant is aimed at training 40 young adolescent girls to be SRHR Educators within their communities. We believe that young people learn and copy a lot from their peers so we wish to provide communities with these educators who will give their friends the right information about their sexuality and tips to overcome pressures.

We had 47 girls of the ages 11 to 20 from eight quarters within the Bali subdivision who were trained on 7th April 2018 as peer educators. They were charged with the responsibility of educating their peers using the 10 units manual given them. It was fun having a trainer like our own sister Nakinti Besumbu World Pulse Ambassador for Cameroon drill the girls on what is expected of them as peer educators.

These girls will be in the field for eight weeks and come back to discuss their strength and challenges.
