My Journey

I was born and brought up in Kenya. Firstborn in a family of eight children, as girl life was not easy. I was expected to do household chores and take care of my siblings even during school days, this really affected my education. My parents were both employed but we were always going without food and lacked school fees, I come to learn later that Dad demanded all the salary at the end of every month and he will go and drink all of it. Mom would get thorough biting if she dared ask. Have assumed leadership roles for Six years, it has not been smooth in a Male dominated community. Most times I would issue communication and some Men will deliberately not act on it just because the instructions come from a woman. My experience has inspired me to become change maker and make a difference out there, thankfully during one of the online training (Ashoka) I met a Lady from India founder of an NGO vnow to empower women in Africa and Asia, she gave me an opportunity to become her co founder. Am looking forward to go fully digital and connect with as many Women as possible
