Child rape survivor saves 'virgin myth' victims

After clicking on several of the CNN \"Hero\" link stories I came across the article on Betty. As my eyes started racing over the lines my heart beat even faster. I have read stories on child rape victims before, but never has a story moved me in such a way. To think of the ignorance that surrounds this issue both in America as well as Zimbabwe. I hope that the strength Betty Makoni has shown through her words speak louder than the fear and shame that too often attaches itself to this topic. Please vote for her as CNN's 2009 Hero so more people can feel the impact of these words that bring so much empowerment to women of all cultures.
