About Me: I am a Domestic Violence Survivor now for over 32 years, I have been the leading voice against DV in my country. I have done a Documentry on the issue and have been leading the cause for over 10 years now. I am always doing talk show and conducting interviews so that we can create the awareness that equality and equity are not a phantom but something that can be acheived in our life-time. We have to challenge the Patriachial system that has been accepted as the norm. We need to socialize our children differently and realize the fruits of the changes for a better way of life. I firmly beleive that DV is the root of all of our social ills in my country. Here we have a high murder rate and because of decisions that some women have made to go it alone this creates problems for young boys and thus I feel the need to empower women to take up the challenges responsibly to rear their family with good values of discipline and pride. I have assisted in my community and people there knows that I offer assistance and always comes to me for assistance and advice.

My Passions: That women will be reconized for the work that they do.

My Challenges: That I am a single Mom myself and that I don't have the resources to assist those I need to effectively

My Vision for the Future: That there will be a center to train women in decision making, realizing self-worth; building self-esteem and assisting them in creating some finnancial system to invest in meaniful wmployment to better help themselves.

My Areas of Expertise: I am a leader and have studied Gender and Development with the UWI.
