The Power to think
Yesterday as i was walking home, i meet these two kids carrying 4 jerrycans of water slung across a big stick . Thoughts that ran into my head? I think they sat down and figured out how to carry all these jerrycans so that they will not have to go back more than one time and vala! they came up with a brilliant idea. This reminds me of a saying in our local language \" Even if you said there is nothing you can do about a situation, you will always find a solution for this situation at the end of the day\" And yes- God gives us brains to think.

The power of being Literate.
This patient goes for surgery and the surgeon accidentally leaves pieces of threads in her belly. She is discharged but later her condition worsens because of this. When she returns to tell the doctor what happened, the doctor talks to another doctor in English because they are sure she doesn't understand a single word in English. The doctor who is responsible never apologises to this woman because he knows that she is Illiterate so she wont actually sue him or say anything to any one else. She is sent home and told to come back next time. If this women was Literate , she would have demanded her rights as a patient, she would have made the doctor acknowledge his mistake , she would have sued the hospital for this and she would have been paid a lot of money in damages.
But the doctor has the Power of being Literate , so he manipulates the situation and the woman didn't say anything to the Doctor because its assumed Doctors know everything and never make mistakes. She slowly walked home praying that God let her live because from the looks if it she wont probably make it.
