Digital Storytelling is an evolving concept and medium that puts the creative power of authorship in the hands of everyday citizens. A digital story can be as simple as an audio slide show posted on a blog, or as complicated as a video-narrative that combines still images, moving images, audio voice over, music and/or ambient sound.

This class will examine digital storytelling in the form of a short narrative piece, created by one or more people with a particular point of view, story to tell, or perspective on an issue. Using a hands-on curriculum, participants will discover various modes of expression using photography, audio recordings, text and video (where time allows). Workshop students will produce one digital story.
