Helping women hired and trained

i know i just disappeared from sending my update.

This my new year, and my new month.

Sep 11 is the first day of Ethiopian New Year.

Happy New Year !!!!

Last June i meet one old lady on a bus and we were chatting untill she reached her relatives place and left me. Before the bus drop her off, she asked me to her daughter to get hired somewhere. The lady was very friendly and she was 73 years old. She asked me to write my cell phone number on a piece of paper and she put it in her bra.

I searched for some employer for about two months and get her hired. The lady was very sharp minded, she used to call me and remind me all the time.

I told you months ago i went to volunteer at some NGO which is run by a blind young girl. I went there three times and beg them to sign up on WP website and get some support, i'm sure they are not yet done that. One of my friend, owner of a galerry wanted two women to take from the women this NGO supports. last Friday we went there and picked two ladies.

The two chosen women will be trained in a center which trains women how to cut gem stone and polish. My friend Assi, made plenty of jewelries from different stones. The cheapest price of her necklace is around 150 usd. She took two women to train, but she will add more in the future.

The training center is supported by our First lady Mrs Roman.

Augest 11, I was invited by Hamilin Fistulla Hospital to plant a tree , because I'm volunteering as a partner. I went to the rehabilitation center with my student from Switzerland and one young boy from Yemen. The boy is a refugee here. WE CLIMB UP 2000 FT above sea level, planted the trees and came down.

The Yemeniboy, who is 14 years old was entertaining the whole group. The hospital's director praised me for inviting the boy. my student Mirtha gave some money to support the rehab.

There is an elderly women on the ground floor of my condo. She lives by the stairs. She was once a rich woman, but now she needs help. I made two dresses from chiffon and cotton fabrics and blessed this old lady. Last night she invited me for snackand served me the delicious meal. It is good to give when we see the needy around us. I know this lady for about four month. When people greet her,

\" How are you today Mama?\" when somebody said, her answer is always, \"Glory to the most high! I'm so fine. Let Him be praised forever and ever!\"

I always said \"Amen\" when she said that. She can say this every minutes people greeting her when they pass by her door. Many of us may have plenty of cloth,food, money,...but we might not be thankful. Learn from this lady today..
