Girls from Town of Kisumu

Empowering village girls...for a great change

When I visit my friend Mary last week in Nairoib, I had a chance to talk to her new house help.

the girl was tall and beautiful, quite, well mannered one.

When I was in the shower, all family members were gone. She served me braekfast. i asked her why she became a house girl, instead of going to the university.

\"I got C- , I can't go to the university. I don't have money to go to public colleges. I want to go to computer school. they asked me to pay 10,000 ksh for three months. That is equivalence of 100 USD. \"

As she told me, all the governmental school in her village they don't give them computer classes. Kisumu is a big city, the tribes of Mr Raila Odinga. I realy pity the girls there. She completed high school and she does n;t know how to use a computer.. She has come to Nairobi to change her life and live her dream. She decided to be sombody and to support her mother who struggled to give her basic education. her father died long time ago. Her mother brews and sale home made beverage, and that is not enough to support her brother and her mother. She is sending the money she is earning here at my friend's house.

I introduce World Pulse. I told her to take the news of World Pulse to her Town. I promised her WOrld Pulse will be there to train as many women as possible, if you organize for us to meet many women.

How many woman can we train at once? I was saying this, trusting your support my sisters.

I have her cell phone number of the girl.

Let's go and train the girls who are hngry for the knowledge of computers.
