Peace and Green Team ...promoting Love, Forgiveness and Unity

 Wednesday, June 27th18 , PGIA( Peace and Green Imitative for Africa) members were invited by Hello Ethiopia radio show. Four of us meet outside the EBC studio earlier and we were on live show for two hours.

The radio show invited us to discuss about our Peace and green movement and its projects.

We have got a young Prime Minister in Ethiopia who preaches love, forgiveness and peace.

We started congratulating him and saying his Logo “Medemer” which means Unity.

If the world unites in love and forgiveness, we can live in peace and enjoy what natures gives us freely.

PGIA works right now focused on two projects. First one is CMC compound which has more than 500 apartments. Gash Tamiru is running “Walk and Pick” project under PGIA. Every morning he carries a big plastic bag and pick plastic bottles, bottle tops and plastic materials while he’s doing his jogging. He is saying to pick the rubbish while jogging helps him to do more excursive. The children and the youth are following his example to create green and peaceful environment in CMC. We made seed balls three times and planted trees in the same area. Gash Tamiru and Gash Abera Molla ( Ethiopian celebrity) live in the same compound and create a great awareness to remove plastics, keep the green area clean, made the children play ground lively and plant trees. Most of the tenants there contribute money to keep the PGIA work going well.

The Bole park is another site where we are volunteering to make PGIA dream true. They have three green areas, with tennis court. We go to have meetings and “walk and pick” once in a month.

Daniel brought seed balls from his farm from Gurage zone and gave us to try it in our houses and see the effect. I through some seed balls of beat root and lettuce in my parent’s flower garden and it’s sprouting.

Hilina and Daniel work together hard to promote Climate Change Africa and Seed Ball Ethiopia. Two weeks ago, they went to Bahirdar, the northern west of Ethiopia to a city with a big lake called Tana. They promote “Walk and Pick” and their two initiatives sponsored by American Embassy in Ethiopia.

PGIA volunteers work with many organizations and NGOs apart from creating peaceful environment, green and organic living.

On Hello Ethiopia radio show, World Pulse was introduced. This is the fourth live show for me to promote World Pulse globally on Ethiopian TV show and three radio shows. I’m always proud to promote this plat form to EVERY WOMAN WHO WANTS TO CONNECT WITH HER SISTERS GLOBALLY AND MOVE FORWARD.

On Friday 29th’18 , we celebrated the 3rd Climate Change Africa EXPO at the Ethiopian National Archive’s meeting hall. Hilina, Daniel, Bizuhabt , staff member form Ministry of Agriculture and Oxfam America were participants. I like the kind of support which Oxfam America delivered to the farmers. We saw new technologies there.

Let us unite in love and forgiveness as Ethiopia takes the first step. To forgive and love others doesn’t cost us anything, but give us much happiness and comfort to our own minds.
