World Pulse Sisters

But the love and the way women care to each other is awesome.
But the love and the way women care to each other is awesome.

I join this platform two years and two months ago. The day I was introduced to WP, Yvonne Chi Leina was saying: “In WP, you can find workshops, scholarships, friendships,…etc. There are many ships, you can catch and sail to any direction you want.” She has described it what WP looks like.

In the world, when we are searching for friends, we’ll go to a place, church, school, hotels, or Social Medias where we can fit in or where we can afford to pay. If we are lucky, we can find a friend which can get along with us. On the process of building friendship, age, the life style, living standard can be an obstacle or make the friendship works well.

When we come to WP, the system of building friendship is extra ordinarily unique. I signed in and became the member of WP the day we launched WP Ethiopia before Leina finished her introduction about the plat form. Some sisters welcomed me, they comment on my first post. The following week I was given a vocal contributor’s badge. After two months we had political unrest in Ethiopia, internet was taken from us for about four months. I supposed to take a listener’s training by then. When internet was back in the city, I received an email to compete and take global change leader’s 2017 training. I was chosen and participated last year. I was introduced to some digital tools and I’m so grateful to WP for the opportunity.

I meet so many sisters on this platform. I use to write my campaign updates when wifi is available. I have four or five activities in a week with my volunteer team. I live in the outskirt of Addis Ababa, but the distance didn’t keep me from being active. I pay for transport, organize for less fortunate women some support, attend meetings, visits many places where there is need, connect people with different medias, share information, give what I can offer, …etc. In this journey, things are not working well around my job and my house, but I wear always a big smile because I am full of great hope. I feel I’ve everything. Everyone around me thinks I enjoy life the fullest. In fact, I’m living life the fullest. I have the three necessary things in life. I’ve a house to stay in, a meal for a day and a cloth to cover my body. If someone lives in a mansion or in a hut, if I live in a village or in some famous city, there is no difference for me. To wake up healthy, and see a new day and get a chance to praise the God who gives me life is more than enough for me.

Some days, when I have access to wifi I write some stories and post them on WP community submission’s page. I receive some amazing comments which takes me to cloud nine. The sisters in this plat form are very different. I meet many women at work, business meetings, when I travel, family members and friends throughout my life. I have never ever seen a sister who is caring for a sister she meets across the globe on a platform. I have many childhood friends living in Europe, North America, Asia and in different parts of Africa apart from my little sister none of them bother to know how I’m doing. Off course, she is my own sister, we share same family name and lived under same roof, we have lots of memories, and she can’t forget me. The sisters in WP are exceptional. We meet here, but they love freely, they support me, they advised me, they encourage me, they give me ideas, they knock doors for others, they fight for their sister’s success, they smile at you, they don’t criticize you for your fault, they consol you, they guide you, they share any info to you…etc.

WHAT A GLOBAL SISTERHOOD!!!

I am glad to be part of this global sisterhood. To all my precious sisters, GRATITUDE!
