About Me:
Nadine Rugira Umuhire has six years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She is originally from Rwanda , but spent most of her childhood years in Ivory Coast. She graduated from Kigali Institute of Science and Technology with a Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Nadine is currently an " Empowerment and Employment Support Program Officer " at Digital Opportunity Trust Rwanda , a Canadian organization that is enabling youth and women to access and apply information and communications technologies (ICT) to create economic, education, and entrepreneurial opportunities. Her major responsibilities are to support the recruitment , training and coaching of interns to deliver DOT programs in the community and support linkages of programs beneficiaries to Job , Business and Education opportunities . Previously , she worked there as an Interns , Field Coordinator and Gender Officer . Through her work , she developed different skills on entrepreneurship , project management , leadership , gender equality and partnership development.

From 2007 to 2009, she worked as a Consultant for two nonprofit organizations called “Agency for Cooperation and Research in Development Rwanda” and OXFAM - NOVIB on HIV/AIDS prevention programs.
Nadine has a passion of leadership for young people and women. Her professional career is dedicated to work on projects and initiatives that support well being of vulnerable communities and prompt them to contribute to their personal and social development. Her particular area of interest are Leadership, Women and Gender Issues , Information Technology and Entrepreneurship Development .
